371 FPV drones WOG and Dignitas Fund to be given to defenders as part of a joint initiative

Today, the first batch of 50 FPV drones was handed over by the AZK WOG network and the Dignitas charity organization to the acting head of the Rapid Operational Response Unit of the National Police of Ukraine, Roman Polishchuk. These “birds” will help our military hit enemy targets with high accuracy.

371 FPV drones is not a random number, but one “gift” from each currently working WOG gas station.

WOG clients also joined this initiative by supporting the “WOG’ON of revenge” project that took place in November. For a month, they had the opportunity to send gifts from WOG that had accumulated in their PRIDE wallet to the initiative. The company converted them into hryvnias and transferred them to Dignitas Fund for the purchase of kamikaze drones for the defenders.

“What's the most exciting thing about the holidays? Supporting our military with “gifts” giving them the opportunity to be even more precise while destroying even more hostile targets on the path to liberating our country. The PRIDE community collected 1.8 million UAH for kamikaze drones, WOG increased this amount by 4.5 million UAH to provide more powerful assistance to the Defence Forces. Thus, 6.3 million UAH will be allocated for weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” emphasized Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network.

The Liut (Fury) United Assault Brigade is a paramilitary unit of the National Police of Ukraine. At the moment, the fighters are participating in battles in Donetsk direction and have various types of weapons. In modern warfare, FPV drones have become an indispensable tool in the defenders’ hands. They are multifunctional and allow you to destroy expensive enemy equipment. The integration of FPV technologies into the combat arsenal of the Brigade is a strategic step in the direction of optimizing the combat potential and improving the means of defence and offensive blow for the successful performance of their tasks.

“So providing defenders with FPV drones is critical for effective defence and overall security of the country, and support from businesses, foundations and Ukrainians is of great importance here. The presence of a sufficient number of such weapons on the front line guarantees peace and security for the entire civilian population of Ukraine. Thanks to these technologies, the defence forces can effectively restrain the enemy, conduct offensive warfare and minimize losses of their own contingent”, the acting head of the Rapid Operational Response Unit of the National Police of Ukraine “Liut” Brigade, Roman Polishchuk pointed out.

“The focus of the Dignitas fund is the technological support of the army, including unmanned technologies and training. We believe that in modern warfare, humans should not be fighting on the front lines. It should be fully robotic: drones conduct surveillance, adjust fire and provide protection. Strike drones, respectively, hit targets, inflicting blows. And all this can happen in an autonomous mode, without the involvement of people, minimizing the risks of injuries and losses. That is why we invest in UAVs, in particular FPV drones, as one of the most effective means of warfare in terms of price and striking power in today's conditions.

But the FPV drone is a weapon of destruction and requires an appropriate approach to distribution. A robot with FPV requires a mandatory high level of training of the recipient, and it must be professional training. Knowledge must be constantly updated, because technology is developing rapidly, and what worked two or three months ago does not work now.

You need to be able to use a drone, work under EW, and hide yourself from radioelectronic intelligence. We pay special attention to learning how to defend your position, because FPV is an analogue communication. The enemy especially preys on UAV pilots and there is already repeated evidence that even guided aircraft bombs are launched at FPV drone operators.

So, when distributing drones, we check the training level of the unit. If necessary, we help with our instructors to update knowledge and adjust pilots' skills. We also systematically collect statistics on the use of drones, analyse them and make corrections in training, so that in the future these units with new batches of drones from us will work even more efficiently,” Liuba Shipovych, director of the Dignitas Charitable Foundation, says.

The more FPV drones our defenders have, the closer the Victory!
