The WOG gas station chain carries on a tradition of public reporting on paid taxes and fees. Thus, in total, the company transferred UAH 6.619 billion to the budgets of all levels, representing 0.6% of the consolidated budget for 9 months of 2023.
This amount includes income tax, VAT on the sale and services, retail excise tax, personal income tax, military levy, land tax, duty on mandatory state pension insurance.
“Today, every hryvnia of taxes is more important than ever, because it is weapons and support for our military. It was fuel retail that started the tradition of public reporting on taxes paid. This is how we understand the task of large systemic national companies: how to create a society demand for transparency and openness of business, so that the consumer can consciously choose a responsible business as the main place of purchase,” Mykola Tsyrkun, financial director of the WOG gas station network pointed out.
Besides, despite the war, the WOG gas station network continues to fulfil its commitment to creditors and state-owned banks in the first place. Thus, since the full-scale invasion, the company not only did not stop payments, but also exited financial restructuring with the state-owned Oshchadbank. As Oshchadbank itself had pointed out, "...the bank made a decision to stop recognizing the loan portfolio of the WOG group of companies as troubled and transfer the client to service within the framework of standard approaches and policies as a stably operating business. This is Oshchadbank's first decision to complete the financial restructuring procedure for a client of a large corporate business". If we translate this into a language that our customers understand, in 9 months of 2023, 1.6 hryvnias from every litre of fuel sold was directed to payments to state banks.
The WOG gas station network will continue to launch humanitarian projects, as well as fulfil obligations to society, dutifully paying all taxes and fees.
