WOG opened the largest gas station in Ukraine in Hlybochytsia village in Zhytomyr region
In Hlybochytsia village in Zhytomyr region, the largest gas station complex in Ukraine has been opened after reconstruction by WOG gas station network (“Kyiv-Chop” highway, 127+990 km). A number of solutions are implemented here, the purpose of which is to provide guests with a unique customer experience.
The new gas station complex opened on November 1. The first guests already had the opportunity to appreciate the unique customer space, a mix of digital and offline services, digital assistants, as well as the first food hall in Ukraine, arranged on the gas station territory.
The gas station complex has already received the distinction of the National Register of Records of Ukraine as the largest gas station in terms of the area of internal premises, which is 1407.82 m² (according to record application No. 230801-0272).
Vladlena Rusina, the WOG gas station network operations director: “The gas station construction project in Hlybochytsia village started back in 2021. Some of the works were completed before February 24, 2022. Despite all the trials, it was important for us to implement our plans and open a state-of-the-art gas station, which is now the first new-generation gas station not only in the WOG network, but also nationwide. For drivers’ convenience, integrated fuel dispensers with various types of fuel have been implemented, such as autogas and Adblue liquid to reduce air pollution and extend the diesel engine life”.
At the gas station, flow separation into light and large vehicles (trucks and buses) has been implemented. In total, 24 cars with IC-engines can be refuelled at the same time.
A unique electric hub for electric car owners has been implemented on the territory of the gas station complex. FLASH HUB is designed for simultaneous charging of 14 electric vehicles with the most widespread connectors in Ukraine, namely 8 high-speed (DC) and 6 standard ones (AC).
The hub works via FLASH Charge web service that does not require downloading a mobile application or mandatory registration. The total power of FLASH HUB connectors is 727 kW, which makes it one of the most powerful in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe.
There are several large parking areas on the territory of the gas station – with more than 55 spaces for cars and more than 40 parking spaces for large vehicles.
Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network: “The new gas station is not just a fuelling station, but a customer space, where every service and every zone is thought out down to the last detail. What we had in mind was to create a place where people plan a mandatory stop during trips and journeys. For this reason, we have filled it with a number of services, with something to meet each guest’s needs right at the moment. Even more, the design and individual elements, for example, like a small living plants conservatory, provide for an atmosphere of cosiness, peace and comfort.”
Iryna Sokolovska, Catering Department and Intercity manager: “This is the first gas station in Ukraine, where a unique food hall has been created with several food establishments, refrigerated and warm display cases. You can make your own coffee on a state-of-the-art Franke coffee machine. There are 5 of them here, which makes it possible to improve the quality of service and disperse traffic. We also took care of coffee lovers, for take coffee as not just a drink, but a ritual in which professional baristas are involved. On a separate coffee island, the WOG Barista will lovingly brew delicious coffee drinks. The guest can choose from two types of grain: 100% Arabica and decaffeinated coffee, as well as four types of milk: classic or lactose-free, or vegetable – coconut or almond milk. The taste of coffee will be complemented by an exquisite line of desserts, among which there are healthy sugar and gluten-free treats, as well as your classic favourite ones”.
Traditionally, you can order your favourite dish from the WOG CAFE menu or choose something from a partner establishment. There are three restaurants inside the gas station: Sushiya Japanese cuisine, Il Molino Italian cuisine and Shawarma Point. Nearby in the common area, there is a McDonald's, opened in July 2023, diversifying the options for WOG guests even further.
Two food halls with almost 100 seats perform a number of tasks at once: here you can have a quick snack, as well as comfortably have breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as charge your gadgets (there are wired and wireless chargers in the hall), do some work or answer an urgent email during your stops.
In the warm season, our guests can relax outside on the comfortable terrace with more than 60 seats.
For our smallest guests, we set up a play corner together with the manufacturer of healthy sweets “Snail Bob” inside the gas station; in the terrace area, a children's playground with a trampoline, a carousel, interactive panels, an intercom, a play complex with a slide is built.
Our guests usually have access to express payment services that are already familiar to them – either via WOG PAY in the PRIDE application or via WOG PAY BOX self-service terminal, where you can pay for fuel, WOG MARKET goods and WOG CAFE delicacies in a few clicks and with one check. These services are convenient assistants and provide an opportunity to disperse traffic and prevent queueing.
