Almost UAH 14.1 million for fuel for volunteers were raised within WOG and Visa’s “Dobrofuel” project
Volunteers will receive the equivalent of UAH 14,090,435 for dobrofuel “Zhytteliub” Charity Foundation (“Life-Lover”), the project of mobile teams of primary medicine of the Humanitarian direction of Serhii Prytula Charitable Fund and the project “Ptakhy” (Birds) from “Vidchui” (Feel) Charitable Foundation will receive the equivalent of UAH 14,090,435 in dobrofuel as part of the campaign of the same name. This unprecedented volume of fuel will enable them to be mobile and deliver critically needed goods, services and medicines to the de-occupied and front-line territories.
The “Dobrofuel” project has been implemented by WOG together with Visa for the second year in a row. This year it lasted from November 1 to December 18. Each WOG customer was able to join it and “suspended” any amount of fuel for volunteers. All charitable litres paid for by Visa card were automatically doubled.
“Today we often hear that the donations are ever decreasing, but the results of this initiative have shown that Ukrainians still unite for support in extremely important situations. Thus, more than 155,000 Ukrainians joined in supporting the volunteers, donating almost three times as many “dobrolitres” as in the past year. They are "suspended" from several to 300 litres of fuel. So, almost 100 customers donated from 50 to 100 litres of fuel with one check, and more than 30 people bought more than 100 litres of fuel for volunteers. Such people motivated the staff of the gas station, who also made a significant contribution to the results of the project. Our operators tirelessly told and thanked the guests for “Dobropalyvo”, thus involving them in the initiative”, Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network, emphasized.
The synergy between big business and conscious car owners, who knew that their contributions would be doubled, produced impressive results. Now even more people in the front-line and de-occupied territories can receive the necessary food, hygiene products, equipment and machinery, clothes, water, medications and other necessary things.
You will recall that the auto community together with the organizers of “Dobrofuel” accumulated almost UAH 4.9 million last year, equivalent to 120,000 litres of fuel of various types for “Zhytteliub” fund. This fuel was enough for 12 months, during which the fund's volunteers could make humanitarian and evacuation trips to the frontline regions. This enabled them to make trips to 90 settlements to deliver 800 tons of humanitarian aid. That way, almost 82,000 Ukrainians from the frontline and de-occupied territories received food, water and other basic necessities, and 12 medical facilities received medications and consumables.
