The WOG gas station network carries on the tradition of publicly reporting the taxes paid that started a few years earlier. In 8 months of 2022, the company transferred more than UAH 4.4 billion to the budgets of all levels.
Besides fuelling the country, paying taxes is one of WOG's key obligations as a business. This is especially important in times of war, when the country's economy needs considerable support.
In total, for the period from January to August 2022, the WOG filling station network paid more than UAH 4.4 billion to the State Budget. This amount includes taxes paid during customs clearance of petroleum products, the purchase of petroleum products on the domestic market, as well as taxes on employee wages, VAT on goods and services, income tax, license fees and other mandatory types of payments to budgets of various levels. The amount of taxes paid is especially striking given the fact that since the beginning of a full-scale war, almost 20% of WOG filling stations have been destroyed or remained in temporarily occupied territory.
“We believe that today, more than ever, Ukrainian business should be socially responsible and set not only business goals, but also measurable social and humanitarian ones. Thus, since the beginning of the great war, WOG has sent more than UAH 18 million to support charitable and volunteer funds, public and state initiatives. These funds were directed to the purchase of equipment, equipment for territorial defence, special equipment and machinery for the AFU, medical transport, equipment and medicines for hospitals,” Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network, noted.
A special place in the company's activities is devoted to the support of volunteers and paramedics who rescue wounded soldiers and civilians from the hottest spots. “If the first appeals to us were accidental, now we purposefully attract and provide fuel to organizations specializing in evacuation. This is the direction when fuel equals life, and assistance from WOG is already measured by tens of thousands of litres of gasoline and diesel”, Hennadii Karlinskyi emphasized.
The WOG gas station network will continue to fulfil its humanitarian mission, as well as its obligations to society, providing it with fuel and dutifully paying all taxes and fees.
