3 more all-terrain vehicles for rescuers
21 December 2023

The State Emergency Service received 3 more rescue all-terrain vehicles.

Civilian and military rescue: thanks to the WOG and UNITED24 project, State Emergency Service units received 3 more rescue all-terrain vehicles with winter equipment

As part of the charity initiative “Rescuing Our People, Wherever They Are”, WOG gas filling network and fundraising platform UNITED24 have accumulated UAH 22.8 million for 4 Ukrainian production all-terrain vehicles “Bohun-2”.

On December 20, special transport was handed over to the units of the State Emergency Service in the directions where they are most needed. Three vehicles are additionally equipped for the needs of the winter period, which increases the efficiency of rescuing civilians and military personnel in conditions of rain, ice, blizzard, precipitation, sleet, etc.

Ukrainian-made all-terrain vehicles are indispensable in the evacuation of both defenders and civilians from places where ordinary rescue equipment cannot pass. They can move over difficult terrain, overcoming any obstacles: water, mud, ice or steep slopes. The wheels have additional tanks, each for 50 litres of fuel, so the refuelled vehicle has a service life of 64 hours.

A trailer for transporting snow and swamp-going vehicle, a towing system, an additional battery, an autonomous heater, a digital radio station for secure communication, life jackets, stretchers for transporting victims with a system for attaching to a helicopter, a special loudspeaker, lighting devices, etc. were added to the equipment of the vehicles.

“We prepared the project “Rescuing Our People, Wherever They Are” in advance, but when the news from Kherson region about the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP came, we launched the fundraising in a matter of hours. Prepayment for the rescue all-terrain vehicle was made on day one. Just a week after the terrorist attack, “Bohun-2” went on a mission and became one of the first all-terrain vehicles that saved people’s lives in Kherson region. The more such vehicles, the more lives of wounded defenders or injured civilians will be saved. “Bohuns” will go where others can't and will save time for the rescue. This factor is often decisive”, Vladlena Rusina, operations director of the WOG gas station network, summarizes.

Organizers handed over three more all-terrain vehicles to representatives of the State Emergency Service on December 20. They will be involved in rescue operations in flash points.

“We sincerely thank the team of UNITED24 global initiative for “Bohun-2” all-terrain vehicles handed over to the units of the State Emergency Service. Indispensable equipment for conducting rescue operations in the most difficult conditions. It was the “Bohuns”, in particular, that helped to eliminate the consequences of Kakhovska HPP explosion by the occupiers. We have repeatedly seen the effectiveness of these machines directly acting on-the-spot,” says Leonid Tymchenko, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

We remind you that anyone interested could join the initiative. All you had to do was fill up your car at WOG with Mustang brand fuel. From every purchased litre the company transferred 1 hryvnia for the purchase of rescue all-terrain vehicles. It was also possible to make a donation to the project jar. All funds are directed to all-terrain vehicles via UNITED24.

Project partners: Ukrainian all-terrain vehicle manufacturer Quadro International, MEGOGO streaming service, IAMIDEA creative agency, and Kopytsia soft toy manufacturer.
