“Rescuing Our People, Wherever They Are”: UNITED24 and WOG accumulated UAH 22.8 million for 4 all-terrain vehicles for the National Guard and the State Emergency Service
As part of the project “Rescuing Our People, Wherever They Are”, UAH 22.8 million was transferred for four all-terrain rescue vehicles “Bohun” for the National Guard and State Emergency Service units of Kherson region. They will help save the lives of defenders and civilians.
From every litre purchased, the company transferred 1 hryvnia for the purchase of all-terrain rescue vehicles. It was also possible to donate into the “Rescuing Our People, Wherever They Are” project’s Monobank jar. All funds were directed via UNITED24 to provide military and rescuers with all-terrain rescue vehicles.
“We are grateful to the hundreds of thousands of concerned Ukrainians who combined their efforts and joined the project to help defenders and rescuers. The first all-terrain vehicle was purchased eight days later from day one of the project and handed over to the State Emergency Service in Kherson region to save people in the areas flooded as a result of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station explosion. It was there that its indispensability in rescue operations became visible. The remaining three all-terrain vehicles are going to be transferred to the National Guard units defending the country at the forefront. They’ll let wounded defenders to be evacuated from the battlefield as quickly as possible across off-road, difficult terrain and water. And this is extremely important, because the chances at saving a life are the highest if you provide qualified assistance to the wounded within an hour”, — Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network, explains.
“It happened so that the launch of our joint project with WOG coincided with the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP. We were amazed at how quickly the company responded to this do-or-die situation and just donated for the all-terrain vehicle at once. A week later, it was already working, rescuing and helping people in Kherson region. The collection dynamic proposed by WOG is the best possible: after all, one and a half years into the great war, direct fundraising is very difficult. But the opportunity to do a good deed simply by filling a car with high-quality fuel, resonate with people better and works much more efficiently. We thank our partners and look forward to new projects!” Yaroslava Hres, coordinator of UNITED24, observes.
We remind you that “Bohun” all-terrain vehicles do not need roads. Unlike conventional rescue equipment, they can traverse water and difficult terrain: during floods, spring and autumn road washouts, etc. It is a universal transport for evacuation and rescue, which is equipped with stretchers with a system of attachment to a helicopter for transporting the victims.
The project partners are the Ukrainian all-terrain vehicle manufacturer TAHAL LLC, the streaming service MEGOGO, the soft toy manufacturer Kopytsia, and IAMIDEA creative agency.
