Kherson firefighters received a fire truck, the funds for which were raised by WOG clients
The WOG gas station network and the “Ukrainian Firefighters” charity project handed over a fire truck to the MD of the SES of Ukraine in Kherson. The funds for its purchase were collected as part of the “Dobrobonuses” project, to which more than 18,500 WOG customers joined.
Each of them transferred from their PRIDE bonus account the number of bonuses they wanted to send to a good cause. WOG converted them into hryvnias and transferred to the account of the “Ukrainian Fire Fighters” charity project for the purchase of a fire truck.
“Ukrainians from Shehyn to Kharkiv, from Izmail to Chernihiv sought to support the Kherson firefighters and rescuers, as they understood that Kherson is one of the cities that regularly comes under enemy fire. As a result, fires and destruction occur, causing loss of life.
From a few to UAH 2,227 hryvnias in bonuses, that's how much the smallest and largest customers of our network made. In just 24 days, they collected the necessary UAH 1,730,000 for the purchase of a fire truck. We once again saw the incredible unity and desire of Ukrainians to support those in need,” Hennadii Karlinskyi, marketing director of the WOG gas station network, said.
“We express our heartfelt appreciation to the “Ukrainian Firefighters” charity project and the WOG network for the initiative, and its clients for responding and joining the fundraising. We have a great need to replenish the vehicle fleet, because during the occupation of Kherson region we lost a lot of special equipment. It was thanks to you that a fire truck was added to it, which we really need. It will make it possible to eliminate fires and save human lives”, summed up Yurii Hatilov, first deputy head of the Main Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in Kherson region.
“Dobrobonuses” is a project that makes helping defenders and rescuers an accessible and simple habit. In the summer, using the same mechanics, together with Serhii Prytula Charitable Fund, they collected UAH 2.5 million, which was used for the purchase of three specialized evacuation vehicles for the Armed Forces units.
WOG never gets tired of thanking its customers who join the project and send the accumulated bonuses to good causes. In this way, initiatives aimed at saving people's lives are supported. By the way, this direction has been one of the key areas for the company since the first days of the great war. At the beginning of March, together with the Andrii Khlyvniuk Foundation, WOG launched a drone fund-raising project, MEGAKAVA donates to the “wings”. This time the company will donate from its own profit.
